Date: 12 Feb 2016, Time: 11:00-12:00, Room: 26-00/101 (Noguez)
We present an algorithm for decomposing a symmetric tensor, of dimension n and order d, as a sum of rank-1 symmetric tensors, based on an extension of Sylvester's algorithm for binary forms.

The talk is based on common work with J. Brachat, P. Comon, and B. Mourrain.
